Ping Rose is a singer and guitarist from Memphis, TN. He has been playing live since 2006 after finishing high school. Before he finished college, he was already teaching music and playing regularly in Memphis. Once he finished college he began playing for B.B. King’s Blues Club on three cruise ships while moving to Nashville. He has done everything from session work for producers such as Jazze Pha, to leading sessions on Music Row, and even being featured on CMT’s Nashville, playing guitar for Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), as well as “Tell Me a Story” on CBS All Access, opposite Carrie-Anne Moss. He is mostly know for his high energy guitar playing with his band, The Anti-Heroes, or his solo performances on acoustic guitar, as well as his alternative, blues, and jazz influenced trio. The Lydia Brittan & The Royal Family experience is like a vivid flashback to the sixties, one that transports you straight onto the set of Shindig, but with modern sounds reminiscent to Lake Street Dive and Amy Winehouse piercing through.
No matter where they are or what they do, Lydia Brittan & The Royal Family stands out. There’s nothing typical about them. In person and on stage, they’re a classy dressed band with spunk and panache’ laced with timeless elegance. Musically, Lydia just as easily echoes Motown soul, and can also ignite with classic Etta James. Blessed with soaring vocals and a natural instinct for hook, she is redefining what is possible for the modern music market. Lydia Brittan & The Royal Family in the tradition of classic American roots music has somehow become a one-of-a-kind band. They have enjoyed their Saturday Residency at Black Rabbit since 2019.

Andy Kahrs’ genre-bending sound seamlessly weaves between blues, soul, folk, and vintage country. Fueled by heartfelt vocals and a unique slide guitar style, his latest EP Somewhere New captures the spirit of American roots music while carving out a sound distinctly Kahrs’ own.

His powerful, authentic tone calls to mind a range of influences from Otis Redding to Randy Travis, all while standing out as completely unique.
Kahrs has worked with grammy-winning producers Zach Allen (Keb’ Mo’, Kingfish) and Bobby Holland (Maggie Rose, ZZ Ward), and in addition to touring his original music, performs across the US as the lead singer and guitarist in ‘Rhinestone: The Songs of Glen Campbell’, paying tribute to one of country music’s brightest stars.
